Sports Philanthropy Intern

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, motivated, and detail-oriented intern to support our growing Sports Philanthropy team. This internship is an excellent opportunity for college and graduate students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in the intersection of sports, charity, and social impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in sports, a passion for philanthropy, and a desire to learn about nonprofit management, community outreach, and corporate social responsibility within the sports industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Analysis: Conduct research on sports-related philanthropic initiatives, athletes' community engagement efforts, and nonprofit programs that leverage sports for social change.
Event Support: Assist with the planning and execution of virtual and in-person philanthropic events, fundraisers, and campaigns.
Content Creation: Help develop content for social media, newsletters, and website updates, highlighting key partnerships, athletes, and initiatives.
Data Management: Assist with maintaining databases of partners, athletes, and sponsors. Help track donations, event attendance, and other relevant metrics.
Communication: Assist with outreach to athletes, teams, and sports organizations to foster new partnerships and expand our impact.
Project Support: Provide administrative support for ongoing philanthropic projects and initiatives, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
Creative Brainstorming: Contribute ideas to enhance our outreach strategies and maximize the impact of our sports philanthropy efforts.
Qualifications:
Education: Current college or graduate student in fields such as Sports Management, Nonprofit Management, Social Justice, Communications, Business, or a related area.
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation; Basic knowledge of nonprofit organizations, community engagement, and corporate social responsibility.
Interest: Passion for sports and a strong desire to create a positive social impact.
Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
Team Player: Collaborative, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, virtual team setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous internship or volunteer experience in sports, nonprofit organizations, or community outreach programs.
Familiarity with social media marketing or digital content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
Experience with data analysis or CRM software (Salesforce, etc.) is a plus but not required.
